Background Information on Kerry
Kerry Ellis is an award winning musical star who has stared in musicals in London's West End and on Broadway and has made many appearances on T.V shows such Children in Need, Loose Women, This Morning, BBC Breakfast, The Wright Stuff and reality shows I'd Do Anything and Over the Rainbow as a mentor. Fast establishing herself as a recording artist Kerry reached number 15 in the charts with her first solo album Anthems.

Theatre
Kerry's many theatre credits include Nancy in Oliver, Elphaba in Wicked both in London and Broadway,Fantine in Les Miserables, Ellen in the tour of Miss Siagon,  original Meat, in Queen's We Will Rock You and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. Kerry won the 2008 Whatsonstage.com Award for 'Best Takeover in a Role' and the Broadway.com Audience Award for Favourite Female Breakthrough Performance for her portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked.


Music
Kerry is also fast establishing herself  as recording artist, her first solo CD release 'Wicked in Rock' was released in 2008.  Kerry continued working with legendary Queen guitarist Brian May and her debut album Anthems which was released on the 1st September 2010. The album reached No.15 in the UK album chart. This  led to a 15 date UK  tour of Anthems in 2011  kicking off at the Royal Albert Hall, which Kerry won Whatsonstage.com Award for 'Best Solo Performance 2012'. Recently Kerry recorded a new version of the iconic song Born Free with Brian May, which she has been performing at many Born Free charity events and on her recent Born Free Tour.  In addition she has also recorded Behind these Walls which features on Scott Alan's Album Keys, Somebody to Love which features on Only Men Aloud album Band of Brothers, Come What May with Alfie Boe which features on his new album Bring Him Home and Wind Beneath My Wings with the Central Band of the RAF which features on their  album Reach For The Skies. Kerry recently went to New York to record the song Neverland which will feature on Scott Alan's new album 'Live'. This was released on the 26th June 2012. Live Performances/ Concerts
Kerry has won critical acclaim for her solo performances.Concerts titled The Great British song Book,Coming Home, and On The Edge have been in particular have been well received. Other performances include Royal Variety Performance, the Laurence Olivier Awards (duetting with Barry Manilow), The Henley Festival (alongside John Barrowman),The Edinburgh Festival,  The Queen's Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace, the Thank You For The Music  ABBA concert in Hyde Park,  and several Night of 1000 Voices concerts, Kerry was honoured to perform at the Festival of Remembrance concert, and headlined BBC Proms in the Park 2010. Kerry has also sang the National Anthem at Wembley Stadium at the annual FA Community Shield football match, and taken part in a sold out tour of Champions of Rock in Sweden, as well as many BSO concerts performing the songs of Queen. Kerry played Svetlana in a concert version of Chess at the Royal Albert Hall opposite Idina Menzel and Josh Groban, and recently  she took part in the 40th anniversary concert version of Godspell in Manchester and guest stared at the recent 40th anniversary gala concert of Children of Eden. Earlier this year Kerry performed with Brian May at the Sanremo festival a new arrangement of ‘I Who Have Nothing’ , which is hoped will be released as a single later in the year. Kerry also hosted her own Friday Night is Music Night special for BBC Radio 2. 

Kerry continues to support the Born Free charity and is patron of  Emil's Dale school of Performing Arts Hitchin, Performance Preparation Academy London and Wattisham Milatary Wives Choir.
